Statement for the 75th Anniversary of the Nakba

In view of the Spanish presidency of the Council of the European Union, and on the 75th anniversary of Nakba, the Spanish Platform for the Recognition of the State of Palestine issued a statement calling on the Spanish government to fulfil its commitment to recognise the State of Palestine.

The Platform, which includes many SOLIDAR’s members, asks the Spanish government to lead by example and inspire other European states as well as the EU itself to champion the compliance with international law and the protection of the rights of the Palestinian people.
